Full-scale hands-on facility training (3-6 hours) covering aerial driver-operator evolutions per NFPA 1002 Ch. 6. Officer selects evolutions for the day. Possible evolutions include: apparatus positioning at simulated structure (corner positioning, scrub area, avoiding overhead obstacles), full stabilization (outrigger deployment with ground pads, slope evaluation, short-jack scenarios), aerial deployment to roof (climb angle, transitioning firefighter from aerial to roof and back), aerial deployment to upper floor window for victim rescue, basket / platform operations (load capacity verification, multiple-victim rescue), water delivery from tip / platform (waterway connection, supply line management, GPM at various angles and extensions), aerial as elevated master stream against a defensive scenario, ladder and platform operations on grade, emergency operation (manual override of hydraulic system), and bedding the stick / cab cradle. Each evolution includes pre-brief, walk-through, full evolution, AAR, and reset. Reference: NFPA 1002 Ch. 6, NFPA 1911, IFSTA Aerial D/O. Document evolutions, scrub area achieved, and inspection findings.
