Full-scale hands-on facility training (3-6 hours) covering pumper driver-operator evolutions per NFPA 1002 Ch. 5. Officer selects evolutions for the day. Possible evolutions include: pump from booster tank with single attack line at correct PDP, pump from hydrant with single and multiple attack lines, full draft setup from static source (hard sleeve, strainer, prime to sustained flow), supplying a master stream / deck gun, supplying an aerial waterway, foam evolution (Class A with eductor or CAFS), tandem pumping (two pumpers in series for one supply), relay pumping (two or more pumpers covering long distance to fire), supplying a standpipe, friction loss verification at pump panel (compare calculated PDP vs actual flow / pressure), troubleshooting (introduce a kinked line, blown gasket, low intake — operator must identify and correct), pump service test per NFPA 1911 (150 PSI / 100 PSI / 165 PSI sustained for set time at rated capacity), and apparatus inspection walk-through. Each evolution includes pre-brief, full evolution, AAR, and reset. Document evolutions, GPM, PDP, and any issues.
