Full-scale hands-on facility training (3-6 hours) covering coordinated fire attack evolutions with live water. Crew completes start-to-finish evolutions. Officer selects evolutions for the day. Possible evolutions include: NFPA 1410 engine company drills, preconnect deployments (front bumper, crosslay, rear), 1¾" and 2½" line advancement, blitz attack, dual-line stretch, long stretch (4-6 lengths from apparatus to attack point), interior advancement (stairs, hallways, doorways), door control evolution, transitional attack, master stream deployment, and CAFS / foam evolutions if equipped. Each evolution includes pre-brief, dry walk-through, full evolution under air, after-action review, and reset. Reference: NFPA 1001, NFPA 1410, NFPA 1500. Document evolutions completed, total live-fire / live-water time, and any problems identified.

  1. 1. Complete each evolution start-to-finish under realistic conditions.
  2. 2. Demonstrate proper crew positions and communication.
  3. 3. Achieve target evolution times per NFPA 1410 where applicable.
  4. 4. Conduct after-action review identifying improvements.
  5. 5. Document evolutions, time, and crew performance per department SOG.
