Full-scale hands-on facility training (3-6 hours) covering wildland / WUI evolutions. Officer selects evolutions. Possible evolutions include: hand tool proficiency (Pulaski, McLeod, rake, chainsaw), construction of hand line (direct and indirect), wet line / hose lay from brush truck, anchor and flank evolution, mop-up technique, structure triage in a WUI mockup, brush truck pump-and-roll, fire shelter deployment (training), and LCES application in scenario. Each evolution under realistic conditions. Includes pre-brief, evolution, AAR, and reset. Reference: NFPA 1051, NWCG S-130/S-190, NFPA 1141, IRPG. Document evolutions and qualifications.

  1. 1. Construct hand line / wet line per assignment.
  2. 2. Demonstrate LCES throughout the evolution.
  3. 3. Complete fire shelter deployment within standard.
  4. 4. Demonstrate brush truck pump-and-roll.
  5. 5. Conduct AAR and identify improvements.
