The purpose of this Firefighter II Course is to provide entry-level firefighter candidates with the basic information necessary to meet the job performance requirements in Chapter 7 of NFPA 1010, Standard on Professional Qualifications for Firefighters, 2024 Edition, for Firefighter II. The scope of this course is the basic duties assigned to Firefighter II firefighters according to NFPA 1010. The content of this course has been kept as close as possible to what is specifically required by the NFPA standard to keep the scope manageable.
