Fire Hose, Nozzles, Obstacles

This training is a high-repetition, hands-on drill focused on the "bread and butter" of fireground operations—the first hose line. Participants will move beyond simply pulling hose to mastering the technical nuances of the stretch, the physics of the lead length, and the discipline of kink management. The training concludes with "live-speed" simulated stretches where crews must overcome obstacles (stairs, corners, and debris) to reach a simulated fire floor, emphasizing that a stretch is not complete until the line is charged, flaked, and ready to flow.
